Buttock Lipofilling
Round and curved, muscular, slim. And above all, love yours. For ages, women have felt self-conscious about their buttocks. In recent years, a more Latin model has emerged, with a slim waist and rounded buttocks. Procedures like buttock lipofilling or implants can help achieve the desired result.
However, there is no one-size-fits-all procedure. It is essential to define the best solution with the patient: round, heart-shaped, H-shaped, V-shaped, square... Buttocks tell a whole story! A study shows that the "ideal buttock" varies across continents. In Latin America, wider buttocks are generally preferred, as well as in Asia. In Europe, the trend leans toward slimmer buttocks.
Safe BBL
Safe BBL is performed to ensure that the operation is completely safe and guaranteed!
Here, the surgeon examines the buttocks with ultrasonic waves to locate venous areas, marking them to avoid this zone during fat reinjection.
✔️ Here, we have reinjected fat into the buttocks, reshaping them.
✔️ Cellulite reduction by breaking down fat in specific areas. A single stitch.
✔️ Liposculpture of the hips
✔️ Liposculpture of the abdomen, love handles, and back
✔️ Hourglass waist
✔️ Buttock contouring
✔️ Back and buttocks demarcation
Buttock Implants
The placement of buttock implants aims to increase the volume of the upper buttocks using silicone gel-filled prosthetics, thus correcting buttocks that are too flat or too small to give them a more aesthetic shape.
This practice is gaining popularity in Europe, although it has traditionally been more widespread in Latin America and the Caribbean. Thanks to recent technical advances that provide satisfactory results, buttock augmentation with implants is also rising in popularity in our region.
This treatment, aimed at modifying the contour of the buttocks, can be performed in several ways: using buttock implants to modify the volume, shape, and size; performing lipostructure on the lateral depressions using the patient’s own fat; or practicing liposculpture of the hips, waist, and back to remove excess fat.
The available buttock implants are solid, soft, and offer a natural feel. They come in different shapes, volumes, and surfaces, and the choice of the most suitable implant is made in consultation with the surgeon.
How Does the BBL Operation Work?
The approximate duration of the surgical procedure varies depending on the type of procedure:
- For buttock implants: about 2 to 3 hours.
- For BBL buttock lipofilling (fat transfer to the buttocks): about 3 to 4 hours.
- For a combination of buttock implants and BBL buttock lipofilling: about 4 to 6 hours.
- After the operation, it is generally recommended to stay in the hospital for 2 to 3 nights. Daily activities can usually be resumed after about 7 to 8 days of recovery.

Our Surgeons Use the J-Plasma Technique
Skin laxity is one of the signs of aging in skin and subcutaneous tissues, caused by decreased skin elasticity due to various physiological and environmental factors. J-Plasma represents an innovative advancement in aesthetic surgery, providing a targeted solution to treat skin laxity on different body parts.
What is J-Plasma?
J-Plasma is an innovative micro-surgery technique that addresses skin laxity without using scalpels or sutures, thus minimizing scarring. This revolutionary approach combines the properties of helium gas with radiofrequency energy to produce a dual thermal effect. This combination induces immediate skin retraction after treatment, promoting skin remodeling and tightening.
Am I a Good Candidate for This Treatment?
This treatment is suitable if you have mild to moderate skin laxity in certain areas of your body. A pre-operative assessment is performed to determine the feasibility of the procedure.
Areas of Skin Laxity that Can Be Treated with J-Plasma
- The neck and facial contour
- Inner arms
- The abdomen without an abdominal apron, especially after pregnancy or liposuction
- Inner thighs and knees
Benefits of This Treatment
- A short-duration intervention
- Durable results that are visible immediately after the intervention
- Minimal scarring
- In-depth skin treatment
J-Plasma is often combined with subcutaneous fat liposuction to treat issues such as a double chin, saddlebags, or a prominent abdomen, although this is not always necessary, particularly in cases of isolated skin laxity. It is important to note that excess skin can typically only be removed through surgical procedures such as abdominoplasty, thigh lift, arm lift, or neck lift, which often leave scars.
Does Plasma Lift Work?
Post-procedure recovery is simple and similar to that of classic liposuction, with temporary bruising, redness, and swelling. Wearing a compression garment is recommended for a few weeks. Skin results are generally visible immediately, although the final result may take several weeks to appear.
Although this technology presents few risks and side effects, it remains a surgical intervention. Other non-surgical technologies, such as radiofrequency, HIFU, and lasers, also offer solutions to tighten the skin, but the results may be limited and often require several weeks or even months to become apparent.

When to sit after a BBL?
It is generally advised to wait at least a few weeks after a BBL before sitting directly on the buttocks. Specific recommendations may vary according to the surgeon’s instructions, but a delay of about 2 to 3 weeks is often recommended.
